1. Click the “Register” link or button at the top of this page and submit your payment.
2. We'll reach out to you personally to get the following:
- Learner’s Permit information
- Student information
- Parent/guardian information
3. Both the parent (or guardian) and the student must sign the Terms & Conditions
Once you pass the road test, you'll receive a document to take to the DMV to convert your permit to a Level 2 License. You may visit the DMV immediately with that document. The road test results remain valid for 180 days.
- Physical Learner’s Permit (not a photo)
- A parent or legal guardian to sign required paperwork
- If the supervising driver who signed your driving log is different from the guardian, that person must also be present to sign
- Corrective lenses (if required) — you must wear them during the test
- Proper footwear — closed-toe, closed-heel shoes (e.g. sneakers); no slides, crocs, high heels, etc.
- You must be sober — no signs of alcohol or drug use will be allowed
All road tests begin and end at our main office ({location.address}). More locations may be added in the future.
Not currently. Wake Forest Driving Academy conducts tests using its own fleet of appropriately insured and inspected vehicles. (We provide guidance or diagrams to help you become familiar with the vehicle’s controls beforehand.)
If you do not pass the road test, you have the following options:
- Book another test with Wake Forest Driving Academy (must schedule at least 48 hours in advance)
- Go directly to the DMV to take their road test (after a 7-day waiting period)
- Use a different driving school for the road test
No — walk-in appointments are not accepted. All road tests must be scheduled in advance.
